Nice day out around 72 deg with a little breeze which felt nice. Today's agenda, go super easy. Legs felt great, springy, and heart rate stayed really low. It is amazing what you see that you miss during regular training runs and when you have the opportunity to really look around you come across a lot of things that you didn't know was there.
Tomorrow will be a few miles at MP then it will be off to carbo loading.

Looks like a solid run. What is your approach to carb loading?

Nice easy one David and bon appetit! What's the carb load plan... are you trying to scoff down a set amount of calories?

My carb loading plan is to consume roughly 4 grams of carbs per lb of bodyweight a day while maintaining protein requirements at approx 180-200 gms and keeping fat around 20% of total. I will start this on Thursday and continue thru Saturday. This will equate to roughly 4,200 calories a day. The nutrients will be as evenly spaced as I can get them through 6/7 meals a day. The steak and shade butterfinger shake the night before will help tremendously. I had many of these the night before a long run.

I am used to eating a lot on Fridays (4k+ cals) and doing my long runs on Saturday with no problems at all. If the food is in my sight then it is mine. @Marcie I am running Cleveland this Sunday.

Nice easy run. Sounds like you have a lot of eating to do between now and Sunday!
