    good Pool Running 00:55

5 minutes warm-up, 8x5:00 hard with 1:00 in between, cool down. I still don't really 'get' warming up and cooling down during pool running, but I actually did feel like I got a worko... read more

Oh man, it's the best to watch the iPad while on the trainer... Boardwalk Empire, Shameless, Newsroom, True Detective, and How I Met Your Mother have been my go-to favs so far!

    good 15.75 mi 01:00 15.8mph pace

Stole Sam's trainer distance measurer thing. Woohoo! Aimed to have a cadence around 100 the whole time which drastically slowed me down. That's super hard for me. Something to work on!

Immediately after trainer.. shin felt achey so I did one mile and called it.. hopefully another two weeks without much running will allow me to run Boston enjoyably! Crazy heart rate after the bike... read more

Go out, buy a bike, and go on a bike ride, that's what! I'm not fast, but it made me feel like I was at least doing something. Man, that whole clipping in and out thing, that's HARD.... read more

Oh YYYEEEAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!! Yep, gotta practice the cleats so you don't fall in front of lots of people ;) Let me know when we're all going for a ride!

BTW, how is Sam's training for St. George? If he needs some quick tips, tell him to message me.

I don't blame you. I nearly quit after the second fall.. hence the practicing in the parking lot. :)

good most of the punisher! 12.44 mi 01:40 08:01 pace

Met Kari P. for the last punisher! We went out a little too fast on the first hour (maybe 8:07s?), 8:01s for the next 15 minutes, 7:45s for the next 15 minutes, and then we did 7:08s for 5 minutes ... read more

Really happy with how this went. This route basically loses 500 feet of elevation over the first 6.5 miles and then gains it all back in the next 6.5 miles. I think it's solid Boston training,... read more

I think you're making the right call here. If it doesn't feel right, don't force it. Enjoy Boston for the experience it is, hopefully I'll be waiting just on the other side of the finish line and expecting tears of joy from you!

Tell you what - you run until you catch me, and then we'll walk/run the rest of the way in and smile the entire time. Deal? :)

blah stupid blisters. 2.55 mi 00:21 08:14 pace

I bring my blister kit with me EVERYWHERE, yet I somehow forgot it this trip. Had to cut it short. Gotta let these babies heal so I can get some quality running in this weekend. Lame sauce.
