Sub 3:30 Vernonia Marathon in April, improve my Olympic Tri time to under 2:45 and run Shamrock 15k in less than 70 minutes. Sub 1:35 half would be cool, too.

    Between work, a networking meeting, kid duties and getting ready for vacay this is all I had time for today. Focused mainly on arms, abs, back and shoulders.

    Didn't feel so good during this tempo but my average pace was right where I wanted it! Hip flexor is still a little achy but much better than last week.

    Did this at 9:30ish after weights. Wish I could say it felt good, but honestly the highlight was when "Gin and Juice" came on the playlist, because that meant I was almost done :)

    The harder I marathon train, the slower I swim. Oh well, at least I am keeping it up. Today's swim was 800 meter warm up, 325 kick drills, 400 of 50 meter sprints and a cooldown.

      Truth. When you put more energy into one sport, another one suffers. The important thing is to keep getting the yardage in. It will pay off when tri season comes around again!

    I gave up after 30 minutes and two pairs of leaky goggles. I absolutely hate chlorine in my eyes so had to switch to mainly back kick drills. Ugh.

    Nice, steep hike with some pretty good switchbacks. I was a little nervous taking Alex but he did fine. So glad I have an athletic kid that enjoys this stuff!
