at km 4 I got 2 blisters - one on each arch of my foot. km 9 & 10 just about killed me. On a good note, this was my longest run yet!

Yikes, so sorry. That sounds painful. Hope the blisters heal soon.

Thanks everyone. I still have a ways to go. Who knows how I will look at the end. This may sound wrong... but I wish my boobs would get smaller too!

  14. beyond frustrated.. running as best as I can. and it sucks. A 10 min mile seems easy to everyone but me. I'm at 12 min.. and that was a personal best.. wtf?! I am 5' tall.. and almost 40 years ... read more

Just from my experience, and I'm a beginner, you have to run at least 3 times a week, over and over, to see improvement. It's not easy for me either! I think you are doing good.

I wouldn't worry about it. In general I'm running at a slower pace than you are. From what I read, intervals are the way to get faster.

Why does the slow pace bother you so much? (assuming I can pry :) )

Thank guys. Onci - I set a goal and want to achieve it. Well.. I did achieve it 2 weeks ago. My nike chip is off... I have to use it as a guide. My trainer and I went for a run on the track and timed it. I did a 10 min mile. Now that I've achieved that I now want to work on distance :)
