good to Pier 40 and back 3 mi 00:26 08:42 pace

Was supposed to get a run in yesterday and rest today but the How Weird Street Fair sidetracked me a bit.
So this morning I've come to the realization that running right out of bed is tough, even with dynamic stretching my legs need like a half mile before they begin to loosen up. Also even if I drink a significant amount of water before running I always feel dehydrated during the last part of my run. Anyway overall I'm glad to get this in and start my week off right. Splits were: 8:34/8:46/8:45.

Nice run, Dan! It takes me a bit to warm up in the morning as well (probably .5-1 miles), but I like getting it over with. I drink water the second I get up and then drink some more until I leave. It's a fine line though, between drinking enough to be hydrated or drinking enough where you have to run behind the first bush you see!

Hydration is always an issue. I'm not a morning runner either. I do agree with Michael -- very fine line!
