Daniel, I think you are going to be fine as long as you run your race. You have had enough opportunity to acclimate for the most part, and the humidity won't be nearly as tough. Boston does a great job at providing water stops. You've done some great training and have already trained on some tough days. I think your original goals are still within reach. I know you can do this! Good luck!!

Thanks everyone! I decided that it might be a shirts off day. I'm generally against taking my shirt off at my age, but at my age I have also started to not give a f*ck anymore too.

Great job Daniel. My opinion is that if you are sure you are not at risk of injury, there is no harm in pushing on as long as you give yourself plenty of time for recovery before the big day. Just my opinion though. :-)

I know exactly what you mean Daniel. I generally stink at cycling, so I don't fall into this stuff so much now. But when I was running, it was very easy to get into this. There is a very fine line sometimes between whining, being modest and simply having a bad day or two. Based on what I've seen of your training, you really are dong a great job and you will be ready for a good race. Hang in there!

Not bad at all Daniel. It might not be where you were, but I don't think you are that far off. It doesn't take much to throw off a good mile time. A little tired, hungry, not motivated. Lot's of reasons. It might even be the mental aspect. Running a fast mile hurts!! Maybe you just weren't up to it today. I don't know, but I don't think you should put too much emphasis on this as it applies to Boston. You are going to be fine! :-)
