73% humidity and 76 degrees. Went out in long sleeves and a hat to try and get myself conditioned to the weather in Boston. It's supposed to be a high of 84 for the marathon, but the humidit... read more

Daniel, I think you are going to be fine as long as you run your race. You have had enough opportunity to acclimate for the most part, and the humidity won't be nearly as tough. Boston does a great job at providing water stops. You've done some great training and have already trained on some tough days. I think your original goals are still within reach. I know you can do this! Good luck!!

8 short hill sprints in about 20 seconds each, and 2 long reps in 35 and 36 seconds. Felt much better than the day before. The run out there was hot and humid and pretty hard though.

alright Brushy 20 Miles 20.1 mi 02:27 07:18 pace
That was hard! The humidity calmed down somewhat, although it is still in the 70% region, the temps today were in the mid to high 70s, so I was definitely struggling, but it's done. All I ca... read more

Feel Better:
Great job Daniel. My opinion is that if you are sure you are not at risk of injury, there is no harm in pushing on as long as you give yourself plenty of time for recovery before the big day. Just my opinion though. :-)

I know exactly what you mean Daniel. I generally stink at cycling, so I don't fall into this stuff so much now. But when I was running, it was very easy to get into this. There is a very fine line sometimes between whining, being modest and simply having a bad day or two. Based on what I've seen of your training, you really are dong a great job and you will be ready for a good race. Hang in there!

Not bad at all Daniel. It might not be where you were, but I don't think you are that far off. It doesn't take much to throw off a good mile time. A little tired, hungry, not motivated. Lot's of reasons. It might even be the mental aspect. Running a fast mile hurts!! Maybe you just weren't up to it today. I don't know, but I don't think you should put too much emphasis on this as it applies to Boston. You are going to be fine! :-)
