I'm not 100% sure about the pace on this one. Some very nice, fun climbs on the outbound leg; pleasant flat roads for a hot inbound trip. Did a couple extra laps in Shawnee Park at sprint pace.

great 12.6 mi 00:55 13.7mph pace
Pleasant ride. Screwed up my Strava, so the time is based on my bike computer (time is the only thing it does right right now). Banged out a nice climb up Iroquois Hill but I have no idea what my... read more

great 23.1 mi 01:50 12.6mph pace
"Slow ride! ... Take it easy!" The point was to ride slowly in hot weather. Mission accomplished. That said, I could have done without the wind near the end. Just sayin'.

great Iroquois Double Climb 17.74 mi 01:23 12.9mph pace
Nice ride today. Longer than I intended, but that's okay. Blew my own record on the Iroquois climb out of the water. Unfortunately, after that, my GPS hosed up, so Strava recorded the total... read more

great 19.5 mi 01:29 13.1mph pace
Great ride today, if sticky. Top speed 42.9 MPH, but didn't set any climbing records. Felt good to be back on the road bike after a great (albeit bikeless) weekend in Chicagoland.

great 2.19 mi 00:09:00 14.6mph pace
This was the stretch I failed to log via Strava. D'oh. Nice ride today. Sticky, but sunny. Top speed for the whole shebang was 42.9 ... but I didn't set any climbing records.

good 5.8 mi 00:38 9.1mph pace
Slowly. Lots of cruising through alleys and slowing down for stoplights. Really tired by the time I got home. Jacked up my total time a bit by forgetting to turn off Strava, but we're good.

good 18.1 mi 01:25 12.8mph pace
A little tired today (5.5 hours sleep Sunday night; 4.5 hours Monday night -- I need to go to bed earlier!). Nice weather, though. Saw several other cyclists. Lots of waves and smiles and saying... read more

Reasonably fast morning workout. Didn't clock warmup or cooldown on Strava. Timed it in two segments, outbound and inbound, to see how the differing traffic light layout affected things -- w... read more

Couldn't sleep at all last night -- literally. Since it's 4 AM and I'm still up, I'm planning on staying up, hitting 10 - 20 miles, and hopefully sleeping like the dead tonight.

great 11.39 mi 00:56 12.2mph pace
Hot, but awesome. This time I got the 'slow-n-easy' part right. I was looking for about 12 MPH average, and that's what I nailed. I'm happy with that. Headwind along Souther... read more
