RUN
blah Rock & Roll Half Marathon 13.1 mi
It rained, it sucked bad, and we will never discuss it ever again.
-
In a week, I'm going to be whining about how awful my legs feel, how I don't want to go to work, how I'm not going to be able to work.
This is what happens when the weather over t... read more

RUN
good 3.15 mi 00:45 14:17 pace
Good run in the Vibrams, although it was hot as hell. It would have been a lot better if I could have reached the point where I felt good before we almost got home.

RUN
great 3 mi 00:43 14:11 pace
First run in the new Vibram Bikilas. AWESOME. Felt great. Ask me how my legs feel tomorrow and my answer may change.

Easy. Coventry Greenway, between Coventry and Warwick, RI. Awesome.

RUN
good 3.14 mi 00:45 14:19 pace
Hot. Sore knees. Felt like I had to pee, even though I'd gone before I left the house.

That should have made you run faster

#dailymission There was one at the Cox Rhode Races Marathon/Half Marathon that had a picture of Charlie Sheen and just said "YOU'RE WINNING!" across it.

There was one in Georgia Marathon too :)

RUN
good 2.25 mi 00:36 16:00 pace
Ran halfway with Eddie, and then turned around, took off my shoes, and ran most of the way back in just my socks.
Definitely pretty fun. Much easier on the pavement than it was on the treadmill. ... read more

RUN
great 4.5 mi 01:01 13:34 pace
Great run. Saw 7 chipmunks, a squirrel, and some weirdo wearing rollerblades and riding a bike.

We call that cross training.

Wait, the guy riding the bike had rollerblades on?

Yup. He rose past us pedaling the bike with the rollerblades, and then put his feet down and coasted through an intersection. Cross training is exactly what we were saying :)

So how many of those do you have now?

Only 2 race-related ones, because someone in the house (I'm looking at you, Eddie) won't let me get any more of them because I keep getting new PRs.

Come August if I can break the PR for the HM I'm doing, I'm going to get another one. Or maybe just get a really good post-race burger.

RUN
good 3.14 mi 00:45 14:14 pace
A run through the woody part of the bike path. Dodged some caterpillars, and people all over the path. Assholes.

RUN

Good run. First really warm run of the year, and humid on top of it. Saw 3 bunnies!

I've been kicking them around for a couple months now. I really like them. I'm not sure I can run 26.2 in them but they're great for my short runs.

Crystal, just pay close attention to how your calves and the tops of your feet feel. Those are typically the areas that will start warning you that you're running too far too soon.
On that note, have fun! Vibrams are WAY more fun to run in than "normal" shoes, and barefoot feels even better.
