That stinks - that your friends were deleted, or whatever dailymile does! Do you feel refreshed after taking a few months off?

Not quite sure how I feel about this...aplaud her or question her sanity. Guess it all worked out well for mom and baby, so I'll aplaud :-)

Saw this, this morning on the news. Obviously her doctors knew and they where fine with it. Funny part ~she beat her husband by 20 minutes! :)

Maybe your body and mind just need to take a break from the marathon distance for a while. Doesn't mean you can't go for another one someday :) Feeling burnt out is no fun at all! There are definitely lots of fun shorter distances and other unique challenges that might spark your interest!

Congrats, Stephanie! It may not have gone how you initially hoped but it is still an amazing accomplishment. I think each race, especially the longest ones, teach us so much - especially about just how tough we really are! Walking is funny. Because of my various issues, instituting walk breaks is the only way I can accomplish a marathon. Both times I did it, they caused me no problems - only because they were planned at specific intervals.

But, if I stop to walk any other time, just because I am tired, I have a really hard time running again. Crazy! But we have to do whatever it takes to get us across the line. And continuing to run when you were exhausted is so amazing! Good for you :)
