great Speed Workout 4 mi 00:34 08:32 pace

This morning, I had one of my fun (sarcastic) speed workouts.
The plan called for 4 miles - 1 warm up and 2 miles at 8:48 with 1/2 mile jogs in between. I was a little nervous, I haven't ran that fast since before my injury.
I have a problem on warm up laps on speed workouts...my mind says get this over with as fast as possible. That is exactly what I did too...holy smokes!

mile 3 - 8:50
mile 4 - cool down
That is officially the FASTEST mile ever recorded on my Garmin.
I don't know where it came from but it feels good!
