good Another fun hour on the trainer 16.3 mi 01:00 03:40 pace

Another nasty day outside, so I jumped on the trainer again. Included about 20 minutes of tempo work. S/B a nice day on Friday, so hopefully I'll get an outdoor ride then!

  2. RUN
good Rainy test run 3 mi 00:27 08:54 pace

First run in 7 weeks. I signed up for a trail 10k with my daughter a few months ago, so I'm still hopeful that I can at least run/walk it. The knee hurt for about half a mile, then settled dow... read more

good One hour on the trainer 15.4 mi 01:00 03:53 pace

Thank goodness for Netflix! Otherwise this would have been beyond boring. A bit too wet outside for my cycling tastes, otherwise I would have been out there instead.

good Fun ride with Kenny (out & back) 22.3 mi 01:21 16.4mph pace

From Barker out to Post Falls & back. Mellow most of the ride, but I punched it for one Strava segment. Scored 8th/790 all-time and 1st/104 for the year. Not bad for an old guy. Should probably... read more

Only had time for a short ride today. Tail wind out, but nasty headwind on the way back. Don't yet have the legs to take on big hills or big wind. I'll get there eventually!

hang in there! Headwind is always a bear in my opinion, hills can be overcome though with work. Keep it up

Solo, as usual so far. Decent ride. Waiting patiently for my "bike legs" to show up.

  7. VELO
good Centennial Trail, Spokane Valley 24.4 mi 01:25 17.3mph pace

Another nice early spring day. Lots of people on the trail today. Ate my first bug of the season, so even the insects think it's spring. Forgot to wear my HR strap again. I'm sure I'... read more

great C. Trail, out and back 20.2 mi 01:10 17.4mph pace

Had a little lull in the workload today. It would have been a crime NOT to ride! Clear blue skies, 70° (probably a record for this date, locally). The only slight negative is my total lack of fitne... read more

The weather has been beautiful and (sorry, New Englanders) much warmer than usual here in Spokane. So, it was high time I got on the bike (since my knee won't allow me to run currently). Kept ... read more

injured End of comeback? 4 mi 00:38 09:29 pace

My left knee hurt a lot more today. It was bad the first mile (I nearly stopped, and should have), then it settled down for a few miles, then hurt again the last half mile. My right knee also hurt ... read more

    alright Local neighborhood w/Apollo 3 mi 00:30 09:50 pace

Another beautiful "winter" day. Mid 40's & sun. The knee ached during most of the run, but the good news is that it was far less achy than it was during last week's runs. I&... read more

    alright Centennial Trail, out & back ... 4 mi 00:38 09:35 pace

If it wasn't for the left knee pain, I'd say this was a good comeback run. The knee hurt pretty bad for the first 1.5 miles or so, then settled down. It hurt after the run, though. Time t... read more

Thanks! Your run was much farther and faster, that's for sure! The weather was nice, definitely. Looks like it'll stick around for several days, too.

Thanks Dan. Bowling is the only sport/activity/hobby I've done longer than running. That said, I don't feel like I "deserve" a 300, but I've been hoping to roll one for many years.
