  1. RUN
good Park, solo 2 mi 00:18 08:52 pace

Sunny & warm. A little faster than earlier this week, but still pretty much a slog. Felt good, though. I've also been riding my Schwinn Airdyne for 20 min. every morning the last two weeks... read more

  2. RUN
alright Park jog with Apollo 2 mi 00:20 09:46 pace

Need to start adding a few short, easy runs per week. Lifted weights all summer, but aside from walks, did very little cardio. It shows. Time to lose the belly & get some fitness back to go wit... read more

  3. RUN
alright Park jog, with Apollo 2 mi 00:19 09:41 pace

Sooo out of shape, running-wise. Spent all summer strength training, with pretty much zero cardio (except a few walks/week). Also need to lose some weight. Got some aches, but what's new? Left... read more

Not sure what's up, but I've felt really drained since about Tuesday. Granted, today is a warm one (too warm for poor Apollo), but I can tell I'm not up to snuff, for whatever reason... read more

Beautiful weather! Sun, 72°. 'Tis bug season once again. Ate a couple of them. Feel a little cold-ish today (or just have some bad allergies), so energy felt low. Had to push more than I shoul... read more

    good Morningside Park...speedwork? 3 mi 00:24 08:05 pace

After a few weeks of easy, low-mileage running, I couldn't resist the urge to mix in a little speed today. 1 mile warmup, then 2 miles of .25 fast/.25 slow. Fast quarters were roughly 6:45-7:0... read more

  7. RUN
alright Morningside neighborhood 3 mi 00:27 08:55 pace

Managed to dodge today's thunder/rain/wind/hail/snow storms moving through the area. Got inside just as the skies opened up again. Still not a great run, though. Lungs really tight today. Glad... read more

  8. RUN
alright Park run with Apollo 3 mi 00:27 08:57 pace

Had a bad case of vertigo this morning. The dizziness was diminished by the time I ran, but stomach was still a bit shaky. Had to take a couple of days off after Tuesday's 5-miler. Hamstring w... read more

  9. RUN
    good 5 mi 00:45 08:54 pace

Cold and drizzly. Stretched the distance a little today. Longest run since I ran 8 miles on October 14th of last year. Still felt the dull ache where the right hamstring and glute tie together, but... read more

I dunno. . . that pace looks pretty "fit" to me. Nice miles, Colin. You're officially a runner. . . . again. :)

Cloudy, 60°. Wow, a ride without a steady 20mph wind! What a concept!
Still lacking fitness, but this one felt pretty good. Eager to start mixing in riding with running more regularly.

    Good luck Boston runners!

  12. RUN
    alright Soggy! 3 mi 00:26 08:30 pace

Very rainy, so left the dog at home. Ran around local park. Had some trouble breathing today. Hammy a bit sore (was sore after Tuesday's 4-miler). 170 miles shy of 10,000.

  13. RUN
    good Centennial Trail, w/Apollo 4 mi 00:36 08:52 pace

I did this same 4-miler two weeks ago (in nearly the same time), and this one felt much easier. My fitness is very slowly returning. Still feeling a dull ache where my hamstring and glute come toge... read more

I'm LONG overdue to ride outdoors. Finally made it today. Went out and back on the Centennial Trail (from Barker, heading East & back). Was greeted with a nice tailwind on the way out and ... read more

alright Windy, hilly and warm 3 mi 00:28 09:13 pace

Pushing the pace yesterday made this one harder, but running my hilly course on a warm and very windy day made it harder. Even felt my hamstring today, especially where it ties into my glute muscle... read more

alright Morningside Park, solo 3 mi 00:25 08:17 pace

Spring is full-on this week. Sunny & 65°f. Pushed this one a little too hard, given my current fitness level (and weight). Was in oxygen debt the last two miles. Should be running about a minut... read more
