Hey folks, remember me? I've been lifting weights regularly, but got lazy about posting them here on the Daily Mile (not a lot of "miles" involved in my lifting.) Since my schedule c... read more

Thanks Sandra. My hamstring is the offender (although my hip barks at me sometimes.) It seems to be improving, although I've been so busy that I haven't had time to test it on a run. I need to get on the bike a lot more, but again, that old time bugaboo. Got to get the house ready to sell AND do my regular work, too. I hope to get on the bike this weekend.

It's been a crazily busy week, so I only managed two bike sessions this week, including today. Trying to slowly increase the time, but still keeping the effort comfortable.

Back from a trip across the state & finally back on the bike. Nice and easy; nothing more than just saddle time.

Nice spin to loosen up the legs. Hope you had a good trip--I have a friend who owns/runs a vineyard in the eastern part of the state (Quincy, I think).

Spokane is the topic of conversation around here lately. . . . my daughter wants to apply to Gonzaga. A bit far for me, but we have lots of Seattle connections so I guess I could handle it. I've never been east of the mountains. I think it's time for a visit, though! :D

Not too shabby for a wimpy runner, I suppose. I'd rather be logging some miles, though!

It's even more confusing. I actually had to draw him, for a deck of cards several years ago, wearing a giant flower suit, but as an old man with a big gut. Remind me to show you that deck someday...

Always good to have some distractions when you're stuck inside. I hope you get a chance to ride outside soon. Nice work, Colin.

Thanks Catherine. Things were going too well, I guess, so I had to drive the train right off the tracks. I'll be back, though. The good news is that the heel hasn't been an issue for a long time now.

Aww, man. I'm so sorry to read this! Guess you've really got to take it easy for a while. I have to say, I'm impressed with what you've been doing with a cranky hamstring. . . . speedy miles today!

Short and easy spin. The hamstring didn't seem bothered by it, so this will replace my running for the time being.
