Who could ask for more? Before I left for my 5k run this afternoon, my 8 yr old asked me to come. I told her that I'd come back for her, and she could join me for a mile. She persisted with a request to go longer. I compromised at 1.5 miles, knowing that she might not be able to handle longer than her usual mile. And, I thought for sure that when I got back from my 5k, she would have bowed out. Not the case!
How cool is it when your 8 yr old wants to go run with you! It was a great 20 minutes. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it warms my heart.
