All things considered, I am pleased with my race. This is the first time I've taken an injury to the starting line and my confidence level going in wasn't what I'm used to. While there were periods during the race when my knee felt tender, it generally held up pretty well. Cloudy and cool day in NYC...and as is known to be the case...the crowd was insane! Come off the bridges...people definitely want to let you know you've just arrived in "their" burrough! There were water and gatorade stations at every mile too! The organization of this event is one of the more impressive things I've ever witnessed! I realize that has to be the case with 42,000 runners...but to actually see it take place...is pretty remarkable. New Yorkers were extremely friendly everywhere I went. Made for a very memorable experience! Pics coming later...
