Took it real slow, but felt good. High altitude (higher than "mile high" Denver) takes a bit of a toll.

No prob. Then did my usual weight circuit, but cut it short due to some creaky joints that haven't done it in a while.

swim
good 30 laps, mostly free style 600 yd
Totally winded after 4 or more contiguous freestyle laps, so needed breast stoke breathers in there so I wouldn't drown.

Beautiful day, amazing event. First few miles were all about just getting going. Hit my stride by about mile 5. Felt invincible during miles 6-9. Legs were feeling uncooperative by mile 10. Des... read more

Beautiful day for a run, minus the trash train parked alongside the river trail, again. A bit stiff from the 10 miler on Sunday, but otherwise, all good.

good 3 Mile - Trails End to Lloyd ... 2.98 mi
Nothing eventful really, just a solid run. Felt more stiffness than I expected and it must have been from my swim yesterday. Otherwise, nice cool breezy run.

Breakthrough...actually RAN! Not my usual a$$-dragging slothy trot, but an actual run. The whole time. Felt great.

alright Trail Head to John Kelly statue 6.16 mi
Decent run, nothing to report, except a few hissing geese, and a concerned looking man checking on me as I was bent over sucking wind at the end of my run.

RUN
alright 3 Mile - Ocean Grove, NJ 3.09 mi
Coastal headwinds made sure I had plenty of air, gulps-full really, and cool temps with a temporary break from the rains just in time to get my run in.

RUN
good 3.8 miles at 8,400 feet 3.8 mi
Despite an altitude of 1 1/2 times that of Denver, no music, and having to run on a treadmill, I was happy with completing nearly 4 miles, walking about a half mile of it.
