  1. RUN
good Wren area 7.01 mi 01:12 10:17 pace

If I could just remove my right heel then I would say I loved this run and felt great! The cool crisp morning with a fine mist was perfect. I saw two runners, but other than that it was a peacefu... read more

Good run, despite the heel issue! What was your diagnosis with that heel? The only thing that has helped mine lately has been rolling the frozen water bottle on the bottom + the 2 massage therapy sessions I've been to. And just like yours, mine takes a good mile or so to loosen up -- it's more in my achilles than anything else -- and I have to stop and stretch after that first mile or it's a pretty bad ache. AND it's worse on non-run days. UGH... why are pain-free runs so hard to come by!? :/

Sorry to hear it's still hanging around. It does sound similar to my tendinitis, just in a different area of foot. My understanding is that the reason it feels worse on days after the run due to the inflammation. I was given prescription strength anti-inflammatory med today. More PT for me too, but mainly for my nagging IT band. It is a good sign that it loosens up after a few miles though. Take care of yourself. Isn't it crazy what we'll put ourselves through to run more and more miles??!?!! ;-)

I'm considering running the Paris Mountain 20K Road Race in three weeks. Today's run was a test to see if I think it's going to happen so soon after the marathon. Still undecided, but I am leanin... read more

don't listen to Randy - every finish line is a chance to say, "there's no freakin way I'm ever doing that again" and then take a few weeks off. :)
