      There's an LA Fitness about to open across from my office. I'm tempted to see if they put in an indoor track when it opens -- and not one of those 1000 times around is a mile tracks. I don't know how many more winters I can run only on my treadmill.

      I know it feels awful, but try not to be too hard on yourself :( I personally feel that 10K is the toughest distance to race...it's way too long to put in the effort of a 5K pace and too short to treat as a real "endurance" race...I struggle to pace myself appropriately in these. The good news about these real stinkers though is that they are learning experiences...I guarantee you learned more today than you would have with an easy finish, and you are going to be ready for the next one!

      Oh no... well, at least you did it! That is more than a lot of other people can say!! :) It's good you type out all that detail... I do that too, so that I can go back and see when certain thing started hurting, etc. or to compare with other runs... Don't worry, you'll do better next time. It's been brutally humid lately!
