    Arms and abs tonight. Arms are so hard for me. My shoulders are so weak. I really need to try to strengthen them. Good workout tonight. Didn't do legs as I am running early in the morning.

      I'm finding out that a stronger upper body will help a lot to give you energy for long runs. I've started focusing a bit more on that area and it seems to be helping. Plus I feel better. Of course, core muscle strength is needed for any physical activity. That's the one area you can exercise every day.

      I too am hoping it pays off, I know how much I rely on my arm swing to pull me through when I am pushing through fatigue!

      Good work, Chris. You should get out and run the trails on the island. That will help get you in shape for the hills during Ragnar.

      Dave-I definitely plan to hit the Island soon (probably will give it a month or so to warm up a bit) and I also plan to hit Bonneville Shoreline, I discovered this fall and it is a great training trail for Ragnar :) Thanks!

      I was pretty weak when I started Jillian DVDs. I'm so much stronger now (still can hardly do 3 real push-ups though) and have more muscle than ever (even if I'll never have a visible 6-pack).
