good Been awhile 2.31 mi 00:30 12:59 pace

I have not run in awhile because of a sinus infection and strep throat. The legs and lungs were fine, but the heart rate sucked!

  3. RUN
great Dulles 5K on the Runway 3.1 mi 00:32 10:27 pace

I wanted to run this in under thirty minutes, but it just was not in the cards. I enjoyed every minute of this race. I ran it in honor of our fallen brother David Anthony Johnson.

  4. RUN
great Neighborhood Long Run 4.46 mi 01:00 13:27 pace

I took this real slow because I wanted to run the entire hour I was supposed to run for. I conquered the monster hill three times without walking. The last 5 minutes, I pretty much sprinted, or w... read more

I so did not want to get out of bed this morning. We put the fleece sheets on the bed yesterday, and it was chilly outside. But, I got my fat arse up and trudged through the 40 minutes I needed t... read more

  7. RUN
great What the hell was my problem ... 3.34 mi 00:40 11:58 pace

So, I thought I was being too conservative on my past runs. I decided to step it up this morning and run a bit faster. Lo and behold, I was running faster, and the heart rate was fine! Why have ... read more

  8. RUN
good Neighborhood Long Run 4.4 mi 01:00 13:38 pace

Decided to do my long run in the neighborhood today. I actually made it up the monster hill twice without walking! The knees are a bit sore from running on the asphalt, but I will rest them today.

  9. RUN
    alright Neighborhood...Again! 3.32 mi 00:45 13:33 pace

I am getting slower! I guess it is all in my mind because I knew I had to run 5 minutes longer this morning. At any rate, I need to pick up the pace!

  10. RUN
good Neighborhood Trot 3.13 mi 00:42 13:15 pace

It took a lot took get my arse out of bed this morning. Too much beer and ribs this past weekend might have been the culprit. Plus, I ran 5 miles on Sunday, and the legs were still a bit tired. ... read more

  11. RUN
alright Longest run in like... forever! 5 mi 01:09 13:42 pace

I knew I had to log the distance this morning, but I just wasn't mentally ready for it. The last two miles seemed to take forever. I did it, so I should at least feel good about that.

  12. RUN
    great Neighborhood Run...getting fa... 3.45 mi 00:40 11:35 pace

The pace is starting to feel easier. The monster hill is becoming a purring kitten to me. Hopefully, I will be ready for the Army Ten-Miler in October!

  13. RUN
    great I don't move that fast! 3.36 mi 00:40 11:54 pace

I was just chugging along feeling good. When I hit the first mile, it said 11:49. The second mile was 11:20. The third mile, I started to get tired and had already hit the monster hill twice and... read more

  14. RUN
great Neighborhood Run (Again!) 3.15 mi 00:40 12:42 pace

It was time to increase the time by 10 minutes. It felt good to run longer. My kids were sitting on the front porch cheering me on every time I passed the house!

  15. RUN
    good C&O Towpath 4 mi 00:52 12:58 pace

I was only scheduled to run three miles, but I was feeling good. I didn't go out of my heart rate zone until 3.36 miles into the run.

  16. RUN
great Logging More Distance As I Go 2.34 mi 00:30 12:49 pace

Still running around the neighborhood, but the distance in thirty minutes keeps getting slightly longer. The second mile was ten second faster than the first mile, so I will take that negative split!

  17. RUN
great Yes, results look good! 2.28 mi 00:30 13:09 pace

I made it up the monster hill in my neighborhood without going out of my HR zone!

  18. RUN
good Just Chugging Along 2.2 mi 00:30 13:38 pace

Just running for thirty minutes. I want to build a good base before I run for a longer period of time or for longer distance.

  19. RUN
great Neighborhood Run 2.28 mi 00:30 13:09 pace

The runs are starting to feel good again. I am not pushing it byt only running 30 minutes and keeping the heart rate low.
