great St Marks Trail 10.1 mi 00:43 14.0mph pace

Great morning for a bike ride! Almost plowed into a family of deer on the trail. They probably thought I was a moose or something. Luckily they ran off at the last possible moment. Cuz I know I... read more

  7. RUN
    Maclay Trails 4.97 mi 01:07 13:28 pace

My time this week on the trail was 2 minutes faster per mile than last week. If I'm doing the math right, I should be running at Abe M. speeds in about two weeks or so. Maybe 3.

  8. RUN

I'm surprised HAL opened the door for you when you got home. He can be dickish about stuff like that.

My therapist says I cut my runs short by a fraction because subconsciously I crave Hal's attention. It's just not healthy.

    good St. Mark's trail 6 mi 00:30 12.0mph pace

So it turns out that biking 6 miles is easier than running 6 miles. Next time I might try driving 6 miles. I may have been doing this exercise stuff all wrong.

  11. RUN
    alright Maclay 4.99 mi 01:11 14:11 pace

I've been running about three miles per run. Today I "ran" 5 miles. I was not ready.

  12. RUN
    good cycling 3.41 mi 00:18 05:10 pace

Thought I would check out a potentially new running route. Turned out it was not a loop, but two dead ends on each side. But I got the chance to ride my bike for a bit - which was nice.

If you ever get a chance to try a recumbent trike do it. I'm so glad I got mine. I'm getting the fitness I was dreaming of while running without the injuries. Takes more time but really, who cares. Too much fun and so darn comfortable.

I have to admit - those bikes looks pretty cool. And comfortable too. I think I am going to see if I can rent one for the day somewhere around here.
