Kept the watch rolling on this one through the whole thing because I had to get back to setup my son's birthday party and I knew my bogey time required a sub 10:00 min/mile pace overall. Got home with a few minutes to spare.

Felt good but I think these shoes are done. I feel much better in Kinvaras and I typically run faster. I hit a wall about mile 18 but by mile 20 I felt great after a gel. Went through 5 gels and over a liter of water plus ate a good meal yesterday so not sure why I hit a wall but anyway I finished feeling good if not a bit slow. Weather was perfect! It was a pain starting at 4:30 am but it felt incredible out. Cool seeing the deers eyes reflect back in my headlamp. You can actually see them better in the dark.

Awesome run! Are you in the Kinvara3s? Jury's still out on whether or not I like mine.

Hey Caitlin, I'm still in the Kinvara 2s. I've been wearing these shoes since the original and we've grown very close over the years. I'm hoping they didn't change much with the 3s.

Awesome super long run! It's harder to see snakes in the dark so it is better to go early.
