      Wow, that whole set up sounds like my cup of tea, video, bike in sync, lovely stuff. The hills around here are insane, I think I will be crying tomorrow. If it makes you feel better I gave up on a 14% gradient a few weeks back and got off and walked though I regret it now. A friend just rode the real ventoux a few days ago, I see the incline reaches 29% in certain sections :o

      Nooo, don't say that, don't goooo summer. Chris, perhaps there are targeted strengthening exercises that you can do that will help alleviate the pain. I know my peroneal pain comes straight back if I don't keep on top of calf exercises. Perhaps you need a new Physio? Or what about ART?

      Missed this one...great start to your cycling career! :-) Cycling fitness and running fitness are 2 different things so it may take a while to get the legs used to 2 wheels but sure it won't take long.

      I dont Chris but hubby has follow up on Thurs so will ask then...and unfortunately it is the non-steroids i.e. ibuprofen, he told him to use if he had to get through a race but try to not use otherwise.

      I did a bit of reading last night and, from what I can gather, there seems to be evidence suggesting that NSAIDS can have a detrimental impact on bone healing but, that there is no evidence with regards any impact on the healing of soft tissue. I will read some more and would be interested to know the specific study in question but, it seems I need not worry (unless of course, I break a bone any time soon!!)

      That's an excellent pace with foot slap!! I had that same thing with a new pair, super annoying. I think the new shoes must of made my form change? If not, it remains a mystery. After the 3rd time wearing them it was fine. Hope you have the same luck. Nice job today, Chris. :)

      ...well...you didn't take ANY rest day after a super tough and super fast race ... and you were feeling sore and tired this morning... weird, huh? ;-) Keep rolling the leg Chris, and the shin as well.
