good Finally, some progress! 6 mi 00:56 09:18 pace

It seems that washing my HR strap made quite a difference today. HR before I started was hovering in the mid 70s. Not quite where I was last November but, I good step in the right direction.

That's still a fantastic long run you did out there! Hmm...I partially understand how you feel. The only thing that keeps me motivated to go out and run is all the great trail races I want to do in the future. I have zero motivation left for road running to be honest. Hamburg will be my last road marathon. It's just too boring :) Still, I hope you'll find the joy of running again. Enjoy your rest day tomorrow!

I actually really enjoy those conditions - although I did come a cropper on the ice myself on Sunday. Rather that than cold wind and heavy rain anyway! Very decent looking run after your time off - probably not lost as much fitness as you first thought.

It's the dark, horrid waking up in it every morning - I don't remember the last time I saw the sunrise in my run, really miss it. Great miles, Michael's sole was hurting today too, he took a golf ball to work with him. Ps I always run on incline 1, now you gonna make me think it should be 2 :)

It's hard to be on the treadmill when your pace is slower than you are used to, the distance just creeps up too slowly doesn't it, at least there is a very good reason for doing it this way, that's motivation enough. Is it only Wednesday?!??

My HR strap has been spiking a lot at the start of runs lately, it's annoying as it messes everything up. Might be the battery but I have 2 HRM straps and both with new batteries. I try and remember to moisten the sensor before starting, sometimes seems to help. Anyway, you got 6 done!

Yeah when it snows here I kind of head for the TM!!! I also have put bread back on the menu...I love bread - but I bake my own now, its awesome, no chemicals and preservatives and I make a batch of dough and take out a bread rolls worth when I feel like it, 30 mins to rise, 15 to cook and it stops me just going for the bread (toast) as a lazy snack.
