You will be motivated for all the things to were before, 1 because it's you, and 2 because your be Back at those paces soon enough X injuries sometimes set us back and the mindset has to change, but not for long I bet x

Love those early morning runs too, once I'm out there. I understand about change in perspective, with my injury and forced cut-back I've been enjoying the running I can get, and being grateful for it. The world is our playground when it comes to running, whether a long day's trail run or fastpacking, seeing all these amazing places outside of races is just another way to be humbled by and appreciate them. You seem to be in a great frame of mind to make a good decision on London.

Once something goes it affects everything else. I had the same problem. My left hip went then my left knee then my ankle. Maybe you need some PT work. Rest up and take things easy when you come back :)

sorry to read about the ongoing niggles - I'm starting to get a bit concerned about my own...hopefully a bit of extra rest will help your shins. re: london - having done many big city ones, London is definitely the best out there (as long as you're not going for a pb) re: organisation etc. obviously you'll want to be on the start line feeling fit though.
