      It's kinda weirding me out, the more I ruminate on it. The stark contrast between pushing up off the ground while running in place, versus a purposely flat footed landing and using the hamstring to lift the heel straight up under the hip socket. I look at the stupid mileage ultras I've run, feeling like I've been beaten with a baseball bat in the final miles, and now wonder if I've unlocked some real key for me.

      I have been able to do amazingly stupid things (based on my "normal" mileage) and avoid injury or heavy fatigue by focusing on both good form and efficient form. I'm sure you'll crush the next level \m/

      I'm just proud of you for not falling down in the first 10 steps. I put on a pair of Nike trail runners about 2 years ago to mow the grass and I could barely walk after being zero drop, 4mm off the ground for a year. Hoka HalfHalf maybe? Since it's hard to be OneOne with the upper removed......
