      You really need to try and get registered for the Shut In Run. Follow Jus' Runnin' on facebook and they will announce when registration begins. If you don't register right away it will fill up and you won't get in on it. It is a cool run from the Arboretum to Mt Pisgah. Tough 18 miler. Huge elevation gain. Follows Blue Ridge Parkway. I attempted it last year but had to pull at the 15 mile mark. Weather got me. Wasn't properly prepared.

    This is the Mountain to Sea Trail. I live half a mile from this thing, and it runs forever - all the way to the ocean.

      Early August is registration for Shut In run. Have to be one of first to register to get a spot. Register at Jus Running on Merrimon. Tough 17.6 from Arboretum to Mt Pisgah.

      I wondered when you'd be "up and running". Welcome to WNC. We will have to get together for a run and a brew. I currently have a couple of grandkids visiting so it will probably be August before I can. A fun event is the Mainstreet Mile in Waynesville August 22nd.
