Hot today in the centre of Paris (30°C, 86°F)... and @Tim M. had more speedwork on the schedule for me: warm-up, 10x 30/30 (30 seconds flat out, 30 seconds recovery), a couple of minutes rest, 10x 30/30 again, then a cool-down.

Was absolutely brutal -- it hurt right from the 3rd or 4th set -- and turned into a real sweat fest too. Legs were still tired this morning from Tuesday's 800's but felt good quite quickly. Glad I got it done; rest day tomorrow!

Very nice work man. It was way too hot today for this in the middle of the day. Sorry :( You did very well with it though, great job getting it done. OFF tomorrow!!

Oh, and I just reviewed the link. The reason it might have been so brutal is that you were KILLING those 30 second hard parts. Probably didn't need to run that fast :P But...now that it's done, you'll be glad you did soon.

I love how you have the grandparents of training....,caleb is the grand pa, Tim is the dad and Stefan is the boy. :-) not sure how you feel about that analogy, but it is great to see you all learning from each other!

I like it because Caleb is the youngest, I'm in the middle, and Stefan is the old man so it's like a reverse family tree.

Yep, it's the young fellas making the oldie faster!! ;)

Like Tim said - you were absolutely flying on these..and this is just 2 days removed from a tough track workout. Nothing to be down about here my friend. @Melz - following your analogy, I am a red-headed step child because I copy/learn from all 3 of them & more!

Flat out running is tough. If you are not used to it then it is hard to stay relaxed. I seem to slow down when I try to sprint all out. Nice work and those really had to open the the stride and will be good for turnover.

Speedwork in this weather? Wow, my hero!

Doubling up those 30/30 sets is a tough workout - nice job getting it done, hard to judge the pace on those "sprints".

Killer sprints!

Impressive, especially under that heat... and we learn here from the whole family! grandpa, daddy and kiddo :)

Oh my, you were killing those sprints! One set of 30/30s is tough, but two (in the heat, no less) is very impressive! Nice work - enjoy your rest tomorrow.

Nice work Stefan! That speed work is brutal but such a sense of accomplishment when you're done right? Great effort!!

Quite a workout there! Great job and really impressive in those temps!

@Lynn - thanks! And right; I do very little speed work, and this week I'm beginning to appreciate what it is all about... I might actually grow to like it one day, but at the moment it just makes me sweat. A lot :)
