Well, this sounds very exciting and interesting my friend. And...I've been meaning to write you but we've extended our stay here in the U.S. until at least 2014 and maybe longer so you won't be missing me in Paris probably :) You're gonna get crazy fast and strong!

Unbelievable - this was not an attack on just America - it was a truly international sporting event and this was an attack on us all! Thoughts and prayers with all there - it could have been any one of us.

Super slow evening jog with colleague.

  5. RUN
    good Recovery 11 km 00:56 08:11 pace

More easy running. Sticking with this kind of slow stuff (although should keep it a bit slower still) until further notice -- that is until I recover consistency and build back up to decent (90km/5... read more

great Paris Marathon (DNF) 32.66 km 02:18 06:47 pace

Plan today was to start the Paris marathon, keep it real easy at just under sub-3 pace and drop out at the 20 mile (32km) point (unless it felt effortless, which I didn't expect).

This is pretty unbelievable my friend. The fact that you did this on relatively no training is awesome. Great work. And JC turned in a 2:38 so yeah, he did ok :)

great Easy lunch 7.7 km 00:43 09:03 pace

NONONO. Just bring two more gels than usual with you, and eat a lot, yo won't hit any walls. You'll be fine - experience will out kick training , defo.

Go for it and have fun. But def keep it easy and plan on a slower time. There's no mysticism with running. Either you've done the training and are ready to give it a go or you haven't and aren't.

great Easy lunch 8.67 km 00:49 09:09 pace

Easy lunch shuffle, and had the pleasant surprise of bumping into Stuart who is in town for work and the marathon this weekend. Helped me keep the pace right down. :)

Should be an interesting weekend for both of us. Good to see you too--perfect timing too as it motivated me to keep running a few extra km's. If I don't see you at the expo, best of luck on Sunday!
