great Elliptical workout pt. 2 1.16 mi 00:30 25:58 pace

Fantastic! Much easier to do when I breathe through my nose, instead of my mouth. Also, time passes much faster when I watch TV while doing it. LOL!

Phew. This kicked my butt! It took me 30 minutes just to do a little over a mile! And I think I need about 10 gallons of water to rehydrate myself! Oh - and I'm getting new shoes, just for this act... read more

good Woodward Park 4 mi 01:08 17:06 pace

Better today. I stretched my ankles and shins periodically during each 1.3 miles (each lap 'round the park), which helped them feel better.

Good Job!! If you can remember, start stretching after every walk. Even after you get home, spend 10 minutes and you'll see an improvement in your flexibility (it will start feeling better too).

Yeah, I do. They seriously feel like they're breaking in half, so when strerch them, the burning can be pretty awful. Hopefully, the more consistent I am, the easier it will be. After my post-workout stretch, I ice them and slather on some Bio-freeze. :o)

It takes women almost 3 months to really strengthen the tendons/connective tissue in your legs/ankles/shins, etc so don't worrry too much about your shins. It'll work out!! Are you wearing good shoes?

Amber, I'm wearing good running shoes, so maybe that is my problem, being that I'm not running. LOL. I've been considering geting a new pair, I think this seals it for me. Thanks for the info, I didn't realize it took so long.

Anna, thank you. I'm really pushing myself and I find it difficult to cut myself some slack. I guess I need to work on that. :adore
