  7. Down for about a week. That plague like sinus and double ear infection refuses to go away. Been upgraded to a zpack, cross your fingers that this does the trick.

  8. Today's a rest day. Why am I not enjoying it? I'm anxious, but DH mentioned it would help the PF in my right foot.

      DH is probably right on this one... tough as resting can be. However, no need to hang your head... you've earned a short break (besides, short breaks are good for your training. They can help you heal up a bit and come back stronger.)

      I like to think of it more as getting ready for the next run. Break out the foam roller and the tennis ball for the bottom of the foot. :)

  11. Anyone deal with sore hips after running? Woke up and looked like an 80 yr old trying to get up from my side of the bed.

      sore hips for me usually means i need new shoes. or I increased milage too quickly, or too many hills. hope you feel better! stretch, foam roll

      I've resigned myself to the knowledge that as long as I am going to be an endurance athlete, I will have low grade pain. As a famous cyclist once said, it doesn't get any easier, you just go faster.

    Great! Took the boy and our chi-weenie, Darla. Helped break in my new pair of Brooks and stopped for a small breakfast ay Jamba juice. Amped about meeting up with Alpha Running tomorrow a.m.!!!

      What type of Brooks do you have? Also bought a new pair Adrenaline about a month ago, very nice shoes.
      Cannot wait to get better, have a rotten cold after suffering injuries to my foot and just cannot get into my running. It is winter here in Australia and the sneezes are going around :( Enjoy your running group!
