Woke up at 5am and was out the door by 5:30am, totally worth it! It was getting warm when finishing up those last 6 miles. I'm certainly glad I did the first 8 miles in about 53 mins(idea was get in some early quick miles), then I met up with Paul & Jeff at Oak Park and we had some solid miles! Sometimes I like going hard and getting those legs tired "mentally" it helps because this Ragnar it's certainly going to be like that, so today was test type of run. Did a solid hill about every 5 miles including a few solid downhills including one on the later stage and Jeff and I were rocking that baby...heavy legs and all. Took peanut butter gu at 8 miles (love this kind). Thankful I had some company and that last hill was the finally kick in the pants...but totally worth the uphill finish home including an extra mile because my original plan was 20 miles. I'm very satisfied and I just finished off my egg-sandwich and protein drink. Now see if I have the BALLS to take an ice-bath...lol. Have a wonderful Sunday DM peeps!!! Do work and take some Risks.
