Before returning to work! It's been a few crazy crazy days...but it makes it all worth it. Awesome race today and very inspiring to watch many people have such a great race or better yet experience. I was reading an interview earlier on Kara Goucher and her training for the London Olympics and she mentioned something on these lines "You need to feel like you're risking all the time, and it needs to be scary all the time," and that's what it's like to be a runner. Every time you put yourself out there and people are watching and paying attention, it's so easy to just say, "Oh, they ran that or this" or "they're idiots" or "they train stupid." But you're putting so much into it and you're so vulnerable every time you go out there and you're risking so much, day in and day out. I think anyone who runs appreciates that. Looking forward to hitting up an early am run and having some company along with me. The Goal is 20!!! Enjoy your Saturday evening DM.
