Manged to get some laps in at the Y yesterday, while the boys played around in the free-swim area. I'm really seeing some maturity in my younger son, Ryan, that's helped me get some relatively uninterrupted time in the pool. That being said, the Lifeguard did pull me aside at one point to apply some parental guidance to the boys, who were rough-housing and hanging on each other. They each received a time-out at the pool wall while I finished another set of SKPs.
In total, I had a 200 yd warm-up, 600 yd of SKPs (freestyle, kick, pull, non-free: backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly), and a 200 yd cool-down. My arms were toast! It's probably time that I start incorporating the pool in my training again.
