So late for making shoe changes! With Moose Mountain Marathon coming up this Saturday, I tried out a new pair of shoes today and found that I'm not a size 14! Yet, I know I'm not a 13 either. My choice is now between running the marathon in my New Balance MT101's again (size 14s) and losing a few toenails or attempting the race in my KSO Treks, which have given me blisters in the past - though not recently. With the MT101's, I can bomb the downhills, but with the KSOs, I'll probably be nicer to my feet in the long run. What to do...

I would run in the shoes that feel better for your feet. The downhills can still be fairly aggressive without the 101's, but you have to think "Long Term/Long Run" in this case. Just my .02 cents bud.

Ran with the Vibram Treks! No black toenails, though the tops of my feet are a bit sore! Weird, huh? :)
