I didn't upload the track, but essentially it is a point-to-point from work to home along Summit. I run up Saint Peter Street and turn left on the frontage road, then left again to run up Summit, so it's uphill all the way up to the Cathedral. Then I run down the JJ Hill steps, cut over to Ramsey, then back up again. I turn West and take Summit all the way over to Fairview, trying to stay in the greenway if possible, and head North to the house.

You're probably right, an hour for a distance runner would be good, I just can't work that hard for long durations. I use the 5K because I can get a solid warm up in and then run 20-25 minutes hard. If it's a race, I usually use 95% of avg heart rate as estimated LT since adrenaline plays a factor in working harder! My tests are just to establish some training zone estimates and I don't take it too seriously.

HI Chad! I've done the New Leaf a few times, and it wasn't very helpful as a test, though doing the last one did start me off on a season of doing heart rate-based training that was new and motivating for me. But as a fitness test, a 1-mile time trial last year was helpful & seems simple enough (maybe like a 5k would be) to be a good comparison point. I may need to try it more often.

Thanks. I'm not really sure how accurate that is, rolling hills being what they are on a cell phone GPS.
