alright Discombobulated Recovery Run w/ Jen B. 3.63 mi 00:38 10:21 pace

Plan: 3-4 M EZ / Ran: 3.63 M @ 10:21 P
I was in full blown pimp-limp mode this morning as Jen B. & I headed out for our discombobulated recovery run. I took her over to my fav little trail and as we lapped back I noticed just how bad I was dragging my right leg thanks to the fresh snow on the path. IWe decided I should probably stop and walk and my right leg decided to seize up and started going all crazy. So we walked about a half mile or so and just like that I was feeling better and the limp was not nearly as pronounced. We started running again shortly after that to get home and now, after some glorious bagels, I feel a zillion times better. Oh the amazing powers of the recovery run!

No worries ladies, the legs are always beat up after my long runs. The recovery run works wonders to getting them straightened back out. Feeling a ton better already and no more pimp-limp. :)

I love getting off the couch or out of my car after a long run. It's like practice for being 90.

Sounds like just what you needed! I shook things out on the treadmill this morning and my legs appreciated it... after the first mile at least. ;)

Glad the leg worked itself out and you finished strong. I'm kinda new at this, but I agree with Silly Girl and Tammi. RICE! Rest if the pain makes you change your gait. (I'm one to talk though).
