RUN
alright JCP - 5K Loop (Parkes) 3.59 mi 00:39 10:57 pace
Back-to-back days and my knees are feeling it. Curious how tomorrow's run will feel. May need to incorporate some lunges and squats on my rest/fitness days. At least the pace was easy and asid... read more

RUN
good JCP - 5K Loop (Parkes) 3.04 mi 00:31 10:04 pace
I might be getting the hang of this. Felt good and the pace was just right. Still need to get my mileage up if I hope to make 13.1 in December.

RUN
good JCP - 7K Loop (Parkes) 4.63 mi 00:49 10:33 pace
Tried to maintain an even and easy enough pace to push past 4 miles and still feel as if I had something left in the tank. I would say "mission accomplished". Feet were feeling a bit off ... read more

RUN
alright JCP - 5K Loop (Parkes) 3.4 mi 00:34 09:52 pace
Another great start with a tapering off as the distance increased. Right foot & leg felt a tad off, but that may be due to the dress shoes I wore all day yesterday. LOL

RUN
alright JCP - 7K Loop (Parkes) 4.01 mi 00:42 10:33 pace
Hot pace (for me) for the first 1.5 miles & then a gradual backing off the fast pace. Need to not go more than 2 or 3 days between runs. I was feeling a tad heavy at the end of this one.

alright Taking the kidlets to school!... 1.24 mi 00:11:15 09:04 pace
Half-mile sprint to school with the kidlets and then a light jog for the remainder of the run home.

RUN
good A couple miles in the neighbo... 2.18 mi 00:22 10:14 pace
Everything felt good and the weather was tolerable (for being near 80F and with high-humidity prior to 8:00 am).

RUN
good JCP - 7K Loop 4.1 mi 00:43 10:26 pace
4.1 miles - kept a good pace, didn't have to stop during the run & felt pretty good at the end. Yay me!

RUN
good JCP - 5K Loop (Parkes) 3.27 mi 00:34 10:19 pace
A week of rained-out evenings, football practice & open houses pretty much killed my running efforts. Luckily, I got a run in on Friday...in the GAWD-AWFUL heat & humidity. Decent run unt... read more

RUN
alright JCP - Parkes Tour 1 4.02 mi 00:42 10:27 pace
Hmm...map say 3.85, but GPS + running app says 4. Oh, well. First run in new shoes and all was well. Quite different to run in near minimal shoes when previous pair were Saucony Cohesions.

alright RUN 08/21/12 07:50 PM 3.11 mi 00:34 11:02 pace
After a three week hiatus, it was all about distance; not time and not stopping.

blah JCP - Parkes Tour 2 3.01 mi 00:32 10:32 pace
Back-to-back running days kick my arse. Ran 1.5 then ran .5 mile repeats with 5 minute walks between each repeat until I hit 3 miles.

RUN
alright Run to Park + Football + Run ... 2.86 mi 00:30 10:24 pace
Took a light, quick run to the park and met the family there for some football (football season starts for the boys on Aug. 6th!) and then continued back to the house when we were done. Damn Nike+... read more

Thanks, Chaz! There are a couple of conditioning camps in our area for youth football, but it's a tad $$ and seriously, our kids are 10 and 7. I just wanted them to get out and run a bit and get used to holding and catching a football again. We will hit the park each night the rest of the week to get them ready for Monday. :)

alright JCP - Parkes Tour 2 2.5 mi 00:24 09:43 pace
Modified this route and only did 2.5 miles with my little girl. Earlier thunderstorm made it a tad cooler, but ZOMG it was humid. We had a couple stops to let the girl catch her breath (I wasn... read more

RUN
alright Veterans - Route 1 2.59 mi 00:27 10:31 pace
Supposed to get 3 miles, but yesterday's beach run seems to be lingering. Upside is that I ran all of this without stopping. Slow and steady wins the race, no?

RUN
alright Mickler's Landing beach run #2 1 mi 00:10:51 10:50 pace
Had a head-wind for that last mile and soft sand, so it tapped me out quick. Despite that, barefoot running on the beach was awesome.

Somewhat annoyed / concerned that the same knee aggravation I used to get when running near 5 miles is starting to return. Need to watch things and do a better job warming up / stretching my IT bands.
