  7. RUN
alright Hopkins TM 4 mi 00:30 07:34 pace

First run of the new year. Lower legs have been stressed a bit much. Going to start the year smart and try and avoid injury, even if it means not running every day.

nice splits and smart idea giving your body a break here and push it pretty hard!

I run quality runs every other day with short short easy runs in between. In addition, I cross train on my recovery days. I have energy for my speed workouts and have stayed injury free since I started the First 3 plus 2 program a little over a year ago. My running has never been better.

Great pace Casey! Carla makes a good point, give your legs some down time to heal.

Took it easy. It's cool outside, but not too bad. Hope the sun shows up tomorrow.

  9. 1000 running miles logged today! Most of that was accumulated in the last 6 months after my shin splint. Thank you to everyone on DM for keeping me motivated and making me run even when I didn'... read more

  10. RUN
good Soaking wet 3.79 mi 00:34 08:50 pace

Charlie's feeling better, so I took him for a slow mile, dropped him back home, and puddle hopped for another ~3 miles.

  11. RUN
good Boxing day half marathon 13.1 mi 01:38 07:30 pace

Left knee and hamstring started to ache at mile 10. Otherwise, a nice run - just some easy loops around L. Montebello (9.8 to be precise). Great start to a new year
