    Tried running today but couldn't even make it more than a few steps the pain in my leg was so bad. So I walked a mile and went home. This sucks.

    After dinner walk. Forced myself to just walk. Trying to take it easy while my leg is hurting, for fear of winding up with a stress fracture again like last year. Waiting it out.

      Great job! Huge to have your first 10K under your belt. 10:26 is not a bad pace at all, but I'm sure that was frustrating w your app telling you something different. Sounds like you need to keep your eyes peeled for a deal on a Garmin running watch:).

      Great job on the 10K!! Sorry that your app is a liar. My RunKeeper and my Garmin 220 often show different times and paces, but lately they have been keeping the same time/pace. No idea why. I second you getting a Garmin!

      Thank you everyone. Now that I'm away from it a bit, I'm really happy. It took a lot to get there and I'm just glad I had the experience. Believe it or not, my husband bought me a Garmin, I just have been too intimidated to set it up. I need to get on that, obviously! :)

      That is such a beautiful area! I went to UMass Amherst in the early 80's and did some exploring of the mountains there. The name of the trail gave away where it's located. ;)

      Yes! We are farther northwest, on the VT and NY borders, in the Berkshires! My husband, boys and I love the rail trail. It's a nice change of scenery for me when I don't feel like running through town. :)
