weather held ... a little drizzle at first ... didn't even notice when it stopped ... the plan was to do 13 miles to show me what next week's race would be like (same route) ... someone needed a restroom by mile 6 or so ... kept going past the turnaround point to find one ... I never need one, WTH??? ... another 2 plus miles before 7/11 turned up off the trail ... heel rubbing again and this time sore soles of heels ... not sure if the gravel was responsible for that or not ... I usually try to stay away from gravel ... might be interesting to do that route a couple more times with additional mileage thrown in towards my December goal ... though no hills ... so maybe not so good an idea ... glad my friend, Linda, suggested doing this with her weekly running group ... funny how I can get up and out the door to meet at 7 AM, but I can't do it to start work at that time ... hmmmmmmm ... a little stiff later, but gone today ...
