      Sorry to hear about your knee. I'm having some lingering problems, too. So think I'm going to skip some stuff I was thinking about in the near future (besides the Seattle Rock-n-Roll)...and rest up until the end of July.

      Wow, a mountain half marathon?!?! Pretty challenging...don't think I'll put it on my list...just hiking up a mountain and back down with my hiking poles was quite a workout to me! (Mount Dickerman in 2010). Fantastic job, Carrie, for doing this and finishing!!!

      thanks Sharon ... I have a friend who is determined to make sure I am fullly trained and able to finish Honolulu strong by December ... and then a 50k next January ... she knows I slack on longer runs ... so she asks me to go with her, knowing I can't say no!!! ... can't wait for the Cupcake Run ... did it the first year ... but last year, did Dizzy Daze ... I'm considering doing both this year ... but the Cupcake Run should be a lot of fun ... we're coming out to support the RD who is also a friend ...

      Tory's also my mentor and inspiration to get healthy ... she convinced me to become a personal trainer and I interned with her ... she had a stroke last month and is slowly recovering ... the proceeds from this year's run will be donated towards her bills (not her idea, but the people who have registered for the run) ... usually she donates to a local charity ... she is totally awesome!!! ...

      he got me back though ... talked me into buying the product ... and then was later handing it out free to people ... so not right ... I tend to start 1/2 to 3/4 hour earlier than everyone else because i'm not speedy ... that way I finish in time to partake in the food after ... otherwise (and from early experience), it's all gone by the time I finish if I start with the group ... works for me ...
