First run since the London Marathon. For some reason my left knee started to hurt and is still painful. The pain is at the front of my knee. Anyone got any idea as to what this might be?

London Marathon 26 mi
Not well. Have done well in training but not ill week before and on the day. Looking for 4h but got dehydrated and cramp. Thanks coach Jim for getting me round. Better performance next year

Congrats:
Carrie you did very well to finish, I know how hard it was for me just to keep walking at the end, and I think you had it even worse than me. We all know you are capable of sub-4 in the right conditions. It was just so hot yesterday.

Feel Better:
Well done, it was tough out there, I was going for 4:40 and ended up 5;02:44 but I dont care, I made it round and completed London. The time is not important. You finished and that is

Great efford Carrie. With that bad cold many would have given up or not even started the marathon. You will certainly do a sub 4 next year. Let's continue training after we all recovered.

Hi Carrie. Sorry to hear your first run left you with a painful knee. It sounds like "runners knee" I found a link here http://orthopedics.about.com/cs/patelladisorders/a/chondromalacia.htm I hope you get better soon.

Best wishes for an early op and quick recovery so you can get fit in time for Chester.

Oh no! What a pain! I hope you'll see a knee specialist i.e. doctor first before jumping to conclusions. Shorely they need to do some xrays to make sure it's the cartilage.
