    I'm staying committed to my strength training which helps me be a better runner. Hard to do it by myself without my trainer, but I DID IT!

    It was great until i realized i had only been working out 25 minutes and was sweating like a pig..pull downs, push ups, sit ups, step ups...squats..eeh gad! Then, water...yeah!!!!

    Decided to take it easy today. Hip was little tight, but had to get it in!

    We had the perfect weather today for running. Nice breeze and just enough sunshine. I had a ball. Now it's time to soak!

    Wow! I did seven miles today. It was so beautiful this morning along lake shore drive. Can't wait for the Race to the Taste tomorrow. I'm already thinking of my reward..Lou Malnati's pizza.

    My first race experience was so much fun. I met some cool people at the race...getting ready for the next one.

    LSD 47th to 57th 4 mi

    Ran with a running coach today and she whipped my a** by pushing me to run faster. She was bit intense but I felt accomplished. Ran the 4 miles straight with just 2 single 1 min walk breaks.

    great LSD going north in the rain..... 5 mi

    I ran in the rain it was liberating! Today, I felt like an athlete. When five miles came up, I as disappointed my run was over. My pace group really made the time fly.

    Real good sweat session. Feeling like I could do more, but want to say my knees for a longer run on Saturday with my group.

  15. today was my rest day, so my knees and my blisters get a break. It was tooooo hot to do anything outside today.

    I'm officially a runner now with my first toe blister! Today was a good day to run on the lake nice breeze...just perfect! Yeah, I get to rest my knees tomorrow. Thank you alleve and epsom salts.

    I felt great this morning. Ran with a pace group of my sorors who helped the time go by much quicker. And, saw a lot of niiiiice lookin' brothas on the trail...God is good!

    Not my best run, either the heat or i didn't eat enough today. Need a nap. Looking forward to my morning run tomorrow.

    It was hot on Memorial Day. I thought there would be a breeze, but this brown sugar was melting. In any case, I got my run in...that's all i want to do..get it in!
