alright TARC Fall Classic half marathon 13.1 mi 01:44 07:54 pace

Not really pleased with my performance but I can't complain about it either. My training has completely fallen off the past few weeks and although I didn't feel like I ran well I still came in 3rd overall. I ran the TARC Spring Classic (different course) earlier this year and did it 9 minutes faster than the Fall Classic. I came in 4th in the Spring Classic. So either this course was much harder or the competition was just better this spring.
The first mile was great, the next 12 miles were horrible. Calf acted up about mile 8. I went off course and burned about 40 seconds getting back on trail. I also fell once, which I rarely do anymore.
Like I said - I didn't feel good but I like to race so it was all good.

    They can't all be great but racing is a perfect way to get your training back on track! Hope the leg is okay! BTW This is still a fantastic time!
