This was a 6 hour run on a 4 mile trail loop. Total elev gain 2551 ft. Starting out it was HOT! 98 degrees someone said. I was running with a group of 3 others on the first loop. We all were feeling the effects and chose to take it easy. By the second loop the sun was starting to drop and things were much better. About mile 11 I decided not to head back for a break and continued on the loop. The funny thing is my last loop was my best. I guess I enjoy running in the dark with just a headlamp. I even cruised up some hills I walked earlier in the evening. I'm wondering if it was that Michelob Ultra I drank after mile 15. Maybe they call it "Ultra" for a reason. ;) It was great having my wife Debbie run with me also. She missed a marker for a short first lap, and skipped my second loop due to the heat. But she kept up on the final two laps and got a new distance PR of 12 miles. Oh, and at after the 6 hours, at midnight, we all went to IHOP for breakfast.


Wow calvin. This is amazing! Good for you! I'd imagine after 20 miles you were salivating at the mere thought of pancakes! Great work!
