I'd like to look like a fluid gazelle, instead of an out-of-control logging truck, barreling down the sidewalk. I'd like to comfortably run mult 8 min/miles.

  1. VELO
    8.25 mi

Biking Bob Jones Trail, with lunch at Fat Cat's. I'm pretty sure 8.25mi doesn't cover even ONE onion ring.

Don't be too sure Christine. Check the calories burned from your heart rate monitor. Looks like you are doing good. Keep it up.

  2. walk
good Setting the bar low for futur... 1.32 mi 00:18 13:38 pace

A quick trip around the block at 5am... Homeless were asleep, street sweepers hadn't started yet, cops doing paperwork, other runners were... Not out yet, I guess!

  3. RUN
    good SLO-ly 3.5 mi

W4D2... why are those 5 minute intervals so cranky-inducing? Well, could be that they're ALWAYS on an uphill stretch :-)

  4. RUN
    alright SLO-LY 3.2 mi

W4D1. Uphills are a little twinge-ey on my left knee (patellar tendon irritation, i've been RICE-ing it and backing off on the running.) Downhills are twinge-ey on Christopher's knee... ... read more

  5. RUN
good W2D3 with Sarah and Kara 2 mi

Running with Sarah & Kara is a GOOD thing! Pace was quicker, a great little workout!

  6. RUN
great W2D1 With DORA! 3.2 mi

A wonderful evening of intervals, followed by a chocolate and banana milkshake... Seriously! It's a protein mix that Dora sells... Pretty sinking fantastic evening!

  7. RUN
    good W1D3 with a hill :-) 2.5 mi

Mental note, during a run interval halfway up a hill, when coming to a level side street, DO NOT respond "your choice" when chris asks. He WILL stay on the hill!

  8. RUN
    great W1D2 2.5 mi

C25k is a total breeze the fifth time around :-) run intervals are at 11min/mi pace. Will try to pick that up some. 80 degrees in SLO today, I'm going to have to break down and shave my legs!

  9. RUN
good Back in the saddle! 2.3 mi

Glad to be back on a plan! Couch to half marathon (essentially, doing the c25k workouts, but with more reps/more miles/longer workouts). It's not like I'm starting over ENTIRELY, but cl... read more

  11. RUN
great HS all weather track 2.25 mi

C210k w1d3. I'm not really "COUCH" to 10k, but when I'm at the last interval at 8 min/mi, I'm a lot more "couch" than I am "10k". Last interval barefo... read more

  12. RUN
    great C210k W1D2 @8min/mi pace 2 mi 00:28 14:00 pace

1 Min of "hauling a$$" (for me, 8 min/mi pace) with 2 min recovery, only 6 reps, with 5 min walk warm up and 5 min cool down. Almost a fartlek, but with less farts (who am I kidding?!?).... read more

  13. RUN
    great W1-D1 of my new 10k Program 2.4 mi 00:34 14:10 pace

5 min walk, then eight intervals (1 min @ 8min/mi pace, followed by 2 min recovery walk), then 5 min cool down walk.

  14. RUN
good Sorta Strawberry Stampede... ... 6.2 mi 01:12 11:36 pace

Plans Fell thru for registering for the "real" Strawberry Stampede, so, we mapped a course on DM, and I got everyone finishers medals and we did our own (thumbs up to!!! ... read more

Thanks Matt! Got to say, "my"medals were a lot cuter (and everyone had their names inscribed on their medal) and even after buying/shipping 5 medals, it was STILL cheaper than registering!

  17. RUN
    good Atascadero 3.54 mi 00:42 11:51 pace

It's the first mile.... that darned first mile... that I hate. I like mile three, and i might LOVE mile four... but the first mile is not my friend.

  18. RUN
good Downtown SLO 2.5 mi 00:30 12:00 pace

Nice easy, early morning run in downtown SLO.
