A sweaty, but steady 40 min ride. Was going to do a 25m TT workout, but didn't feel as if I had the legs, so just pootled.

alright Dark Hill reps 12.9 mi
Went out early morning. Did six reps of Dark Hill after about 4 miles of warm-up. Having only ridden this with a backpack in recent times, it took me the first two attempts to get the gearing right... read more

That's a great ride and pace. Good on you for getting out at 6am Chris! Yeah how did the race go?

The race was excellent. I sat in the Chief Commissaire's car taking notes for the morning race. A chap from Addiscombe CC won - very strong lad; he was continually having a go off the front, then eventually rode away on the final lap. He's a TTer, medal winnning world age-group standard tri/duathlete and just all round very fit bloke it seems.

alright Commute in and back 29.3 mi
Had to pop into work to get some stuff. It started off sunny, then the rain came. And it stayed. Didn't wear my overshoes, so feet were like blocks of ice by the time I arrived home.

Going to try 25m TTs on the turbo trainer from next week. Judging by my 40-min distance, a time between 1:15 and 1:20 would be good.

love TT! don't have an indoor option, so looking forward to spring to test my legs. hope your test rides go well.

Cheers. 25m TTs are supposed to be good training for Alpine events - the intensity for that length of time is supposed to replicate the intensity of the climbs (given the distinct lack of those climbs in the UK). What length TTs are you entering?
