You're in great shape Lynn, a lil break won't hurt u at all, might ever help some, heal your wounds up. Just do some other exercises, like when my tendonitis was bad, i couldn't run 5 miles w/o stopping, so, I didnt' run for a week, just walked everyday, and iced my wounds, did wonders for me. And if i were u, i'd avoid dunkin donuts, :).

Lynn, a couple times I took a week off in my training and when I got back on schedule I felt stronger. Good luck to you!

it shouldn't be too bad, especially since this week was supposed to be light. if you are able to cross train on an elliptical that'd be good. It usually takes about 2 weeks to lose your edge. FYI...used my head lamp this morning to run boathouse. They are at walmart in the bike accessory section.

You'll have no trouble picking up where you left off. You've done awesome on your training! As much as you exercise, your body will be grateful for a short break!

There are far more experienced runners here than myself, so u should definitely listen to them. I just know that injuries and short layoffs are common, even somewhat expected to occur during these long training programs, so don't fret. Just DON'T try to make up the mileage. It's a losing proposition and probably won't help a bit. Get well soon!
