Is anyone else having trouble up loading from there Garmin ???

I don't use the fancy watches, unfortunately (fortunately?). Just my iPhone and an app called Runmeter.

Time for a new Garmin? Seems there's a lot of people experiencing problems on their Garmin in the last month or so. And I've found Runmeter to be reliable for a $6 app! Have had it since 2011. Plus, being a recreational runner, I feel I don't need the expensive device unless I go swimming regularly and need a waterproof one, maybe!

Maybe find a recipe to make your own low cal version ? I heard they are really high in sugar. Also good to cut down to one initially so you can slowly work your way off them.

Hey Brooke, funny what you said about my pace, cos I'm one of the slowest runners I know! Haha! I run for the mileage rather than the pace. Anyway, you'll get there! Just be consistent about your running throughout the year, keep on going (no matter how slow or short the distance), and make it into a habit (like brushing teeth!). Well, this is how I do it! :) You're already making progress here!

Brave move there Brooke! I find running Southbank parklands or the Storey Bridge-Southbank circuit, trying to find the shades at lunch is hard enough, so I don't know how you do it! I'm just about to bust out another 10kms and it is just cooling down.

I should have guessed. Good luck with that, just be careful not to overtrain. When I was competing I had a tendancy to overtrain. But sometimes less is best.
