Coach's instructions today was for a 5mile tempo @mid-tempo pace. Target was 5 miles in 41 minutes. Completed in 37:23. Max HR - 177, Av HR - 158. Split times for 1K laps - 5:03, 4:25, 4:37, 4:38, 4:44, 4:47, 4:44, 4:25. My 5K time was 23:30. Could not upload Garmin data today.

Good tempo. If all hard runs are better than your plan, you should run a time trial and upgrade your training paces from that.

Yes Sanjeev. I am trying to see for one more week if I beat the coach's instructions. Also I want to understand if I beat the long runs also. If this happens for 2 weeks, I am thinking of upgrading my targets a bit.
