    2.25 mile run! Pushed through the 2 mile mark today and included some SMALL intervals and speed changes. Legs are feeling pretty sore so I'm looking forward to a rest day tomorrow!

      Great job moving past the 2 mile mark!! Little steps are what it is all about. Rest well knowing that you broke thru an "obstacle" and it is completely in your power to improve. Mile numbers seem to cause the brain to get in the way of forward progress - getting past "that number" can cause so many issues. Running is just as much a mental sport as it is physical. Note you increased about 10%, which is a general rule how much you should increase mileage when doing longer runs.

      Great progress so far!! Sounds like a good plan. Remember the other variables you can change are speed and incline. But gradual change is good - it keeps you from getting injured. One way to increase speed is by slightly increasing the speed for 30 - 60 seconds, then back down for a few minutes. Then repeat.
