  1. RUN
alright Fort Lauderdale Run 2 mi 00:19 09:22 pace

    Sore from Chase Corporate Challenge.
One mile north in pouring rain at 8:15.
One mile south on beach at 8:30 pace.

  2. RUN
good Chase Corporate Challenge 3.5 mi 00:23 06:33 pace

My goal was 6:30 pace tonight. Coming close to that, I can't be too disappointed.
    Always a fun event!

  3. RUN
good Run Home from Work 8 mi 01:06 08:15 pace

    Awesome night in Chicago.
Unfortunately, it's the time of year when nobody remembers how path etiquette works.

  4. RUN
good Hard Sunday Run 4 mi 00:28 06:54 pace

After Milwaukee, Los Angeles and Carbondale this week, happy to get a short, hard run prior to Chase Corporate Challenge this week.

  5. RUN
good Morning Treadmill Run 4 mi 00:30 07:30 pace

Had some music on during the run, helped me pick up the pace and stay motivated throughout the run. Varying pace: 8:00, 7:00, 7:30, 7:00...or something like that.

  6. RUN
    blah Run 6 mi 00:49 08:09 pace

    Just don't have the motivation.
Good to briefly see David M. on the path.

  7. RUN
alright Saturday Run with Carley 8 mi 01:04 08:00 pace

    First run in a week.
After a week of 'training' in Milwaukee (heavy drinking and eating), time to start running again.
Need to find that itch again.

  8. RUN
good Saturday Morning run with Carley 10 mi 01:18 07:47 pace

5 miles with a tailwind at 7:40 pace.
5 miles with a headwind at 7:55 pace.

  9. RUN
good Nice outdoor Run 4 mi 00:33 08:15 pace

Few good miles after a long and stressful day at work

  10. RUN
good Treadmill Run 4 mi 00:31 07:45 pace

8:30, 7:00, 8:00, 7:30. Felt pretty good, but heart rate was higher than I would have liked.

I had the exact issue for a 3 mile run last night. Could not keep my HR down. Decided I was doing too much too soon post-Big Sur. Taking next two days off for rest.

Smart call. No reason to push too fast too hard so soon.
I don't think I'm fully giving up on another spring marathon until the races actually pass, so I am going to keep training and we'll see what happens.

More effort than there should have been here...

  12. RUN
good Back to the grind with Carley 8 mi 01:02 07:43 pace

Nice solid run with Carley...faster 4 miles to start with the wind at the back, and then a steady pace on the way back. Not sure yet what my plans are in two weeks...

  13. RUN
alright Big Sur Marathon 26.2 mi 03:58 09:05 pace

    Super hilly. Big headwind.
Definitely had to earn that one.

    Insanely beautiful views
