Went pretty well considering how long it's been since I've done any speed work.
Did .8mi warm-up; 5x400m intervals; .9mi cool-down. 400m splits: 1:54; 1:53; 1:51; 1:53; and 1:51.

alright 8mi run 8.01 mi 01:31 11:18 pace
Wanted to take it slow and practice my planned marathon pace. My rt hamstring started hurting again about 2mi into the run. Also had some crazy wind, I think about 20mph. http://j.mp/t8hzTg.

I think caffeinated gels may be causing the cramping in my legs. My legs don't cramp up every time. But thinking back over my past several runs, if I'm remembering correctly I'm thinking that the t... read more

good 12mi Cotton Belt Trail run 12.01 mi 02:11 10:54 pace
Overall I think this run went pretty well. With less than a mile to go I felt a pop in my right hamstring followed by some pain that forced me to slow down. I walked and stretched a bit and I think... read more

What did you think of the cotton belt trail. I had intended to join you earlier in the week, but I realized I was going to be out late last night and decided to just get some rest instead. I ran my 9 from the house. It made for a boring run, but at least I got it in.

The stretch I ran this morning was pretty nice. It will be better once all of the construction on it is completed, I had to take a couple of small detours. It's a nice, wide paved path, and the stretch up in Colleyville had markers every 1/2 mile. It's got some small hills but it's mostly flat. It's a nice option.

alright The 20mi run that was only 18... 18.15 mi 03:32 11:41 pace
This was supposed to be a 20 mile run, but circumstances conspired against my plans and the end result was a run that was something just over 18 miles.
The plan was to run a local half marathon, b... read more-
Yeah I am questioning doing another marathon. Running 20-30 miles a week is fun, but trying to do ~40 a week can be work, and that's on the low end. Both marathons were a lot of fun, don't think it was a waste of time, just not sure if I will be doing another any time soon.

Thanks. Aron I'm working on it. Want some time to process it. If I had written it yesterday, it would have been something like "26.2: never again"; today it's more like "26.2: maybe I should do another one."
