  1. If you're wondering where I've been, I injured my left foot during a run last week. Saw the foot doc yesterday, looks like a small stress fracture or bone contusion. So no running for a f... read more

  2. RUN
    great 4mi tempo run 4.02 mi 00:37 09:15 pace

Got a nice break from the heat tonight as temps dropped into the low 80's.
    Target splits: 10:00, 9:05, 9:05, 9:45
    Actual splits: 9:53, 8:57, 9:01, 9:16

  3. RUN
    good 3mi run and ab ripper x 3 mi 00:30 10:07 pace

Ran the first two miles with my son. He's getting fast, even in this heat!

Garmin data from yesterday's hill intervals. Elevation in green, speed in blue. The fourth interval is messed up because I hit stop instead of lap.

If I am reading this correctly it appears that you are faster on the downhills than on the uphills. Fascinating.

Taking a closer look at this hill, the overall grade is just over 8%. But, if my Garmin data is correct, the first 275m is about 7%, and the last 65m is about 15%. No wonder I'm so tired at the top!

Jodi I'm posting a chart showing the pace info if you'd like to see the mess it was :)
Slow V. it's just like running on the flat ground, only slower and more painful.

  7. RUN
    tired 8mi run 8.01 mi 01:30 11:16 pace

Just wasn't feeling it tonight. Don't know if it was the heat, tired legs, or what, but I was definitely dragging tonight. But fortunately there wasn't really a pace goal for this ru... read more

Yeah but it doesn't hurt the next day. And I really don't think it works. If you subject yourself to pain on purpose you should at least be allowed the privilege of feeling it the next. And I don't have a six pack. I want my money back!
