    Got a nice break from the heat tonight as temps dropped into the low 80's.
    Target splits: 10:00, 9:05, 9:05, 9:45
    Actual splits: 9:53, 8:57, 9:01, 9:16

    Ran the first two miles with my son. He's getting fast, even in this heat!

      If I am reading this correctly it appears that you are faster on the downhills than on the uphills. Fascinating.

      Taking a closer look at this hill, the overall grade is just over 8%. But, if my Garmin data is correct, the first 275m is about 7%, and the last 65m is about 15%. No wonder I'm so tired at the top!

      Yeah but it doesn't hurt the next day. And I really don't think it works. If you subject yourself to pain on purpose you should at least be allowed the privilege of feeling it the next. And I don't have a six pack. I want my money back!

    4mi tempo run, I think it was around 100 degrees for this one.

    Splits were better than expected:
    mile 1: 9:55 (10:00 goal)
    mile 2: 8:48 (9:05 goal)
    mile 3: 9:05 (9:05 goal)
    mile 4: 9:20 (9:50 goal)
