Caught up with Meb this morning. What an inspiration!

  2. RUN
    good Dallas Half Marathon-ru 13.1 mi 02:33 11:41 pace

Really chuffed about this -- went much better than expected. 2:30 was my dream goal and 2:50 was my realistic I'm-gonna-give-up-running-if-I-don't-hit-it goal. So I was a lot closer to... read more

    Easy peasy.

  4. RUN
    Treadmill 1 mi 00:11:20 11:20 pace

    Leg day warm up.

  5. RUN
alright Katy Trail 10 mi 01:56 11:37 pace

Not as good as I'd hoped but better than might be expected. Some foot issues in the last couple of miles. Clocked a 10:20 pace for mile 7 but pretty much awful after that. Go figure.

  6. RUN
    treadmill 1 mi 00:11:20 11:20 pace

A little something to get the legs turning over before a strength workout.

  7. RUN
    good Treadmill 2 mi 00:22 11:03 pace

Threw in some 1/4 intervals on the treadmill on leg day in the gym.

  8. RUN
good New kicks! 5 mi 00:58 11:39 pace

Like riding on Goodyears! Decided to go for more cushion and support after bouncing my bones around with semi-minimalist shoes for the last couple of years.

  9. RUN
good Katy Trail 8 mi 01:32 11:31 pace

Tough sledding but I'm happy overall with having added miles this week.

  10. RUN
good Katy Trail 3.1 mi 00:36 11:27 pace

Easy - like the day after Thanksgiving morning.

  11. RUN
good Katy Trail 5.5 mi 01:03 11:32 pace

Happy Thanksgiving to all my DM friends! I miss the Turkey Trottin' in the other D today, but I am so so grateful today!

  12. RUN
alright Katy Trail 3.1 mi 00:35 11:17 pace

    Feeling pretty good.

  13. RUN
good Katy Trail 6.2 mi 01:10 11:19 pace

Unfinished business from last Sunday. Felt pretty good.

  14. RUN
alright Katy Trail 4 mi 00:46 11:30 pace

Went out to do maybe 8 then knocked it back to 6 until the music died and I thought 4 was plenty.

  15. RUN
good Deep Ellum 3.7 mi 00:44 11:59 pace

More of a walk-run. Went exploring in a different section of the city - had a very Detroit feel to it.

  16. RUN
alright Katy Trail 4.5 mi 00:53 11:46 pace

Used the leg machines in the gym yesterday -- not sure whether or not that was a good thing. Sore today.

Every time I start out lifting legs after not having done so in a while, I pay for it ... usually 2 days afterwards. This time around, I was careful to start with very light weight. Good miles!!!

  17. RUN
Maple to Katy Trail 5 mi 00:58 11:38 pace

Sort of went off the rails in the 4th mile. But I'm enjoying the new routine and location -- and especially the temps: 60 degrees! Yessssssssssss!

    • Torrie

I am so jealous of those temps!! 60 degrees sounds amazing!! Awesome job with 5 miles even if that 4th one was rough!
